Famous Scottish castles, Dunrobin.

The enchanting Scottish highlands, nestled between the north see to the east, and the north Atlantic to the west, at the northern most part of the British Isles. Scotland is a land of lush green beauty, and a history to match. A land of lore and folktales, monsters and giants. A scene for bloody battles that turned the tide of history, and castles that withstood the test of time, and stand as a witness of the resilience of a land and its people.

There are a few well kept castles that each tell a different part of the history of the country.

The seat of the Clan Sutherland, and its Earls, this castle holds a charm over visitors who are enamored with its towers and arches and gardens. most of the fairy-tale facade of the castle however is a result of a renovation undertaken in the first have of the 1800s. the view of the gardens from the castle is very scenic and is one of the best part of visiting this old castle. some of the older parts dating back to the 14th century or even before, are very apparently incorporated into the many expansions of the castle and can be clearly noticed by visitors.
